简介
四风港是个偏僻的小渔村，这里的村民不超过三百户。
这天，爸爸一句“轮不到你不要”，就把浩然从大城市带到了四风港，让浩然住在爷爷的家。浩然每天都带着冷冰冰的脸孔到新学校上课。他恨透了这里破旧的学校、脏兮兮的同学，还有路上一堆堆的牛粪……他受够了，他一定要离开这个鬼地方！
在四风港长大的子澄，善良又开朗，大家都非常喜爱她。子澄想一辈子留在四风港，妈妈却希望她到城里念书。后来，她从林老师口中得知，已故的爸爸也希望她能离开四风港。她顿时陷入了挣扎……
浩然与成长背景截然不同的子澄，后来竟成了好朋友。两人是如何成为朋友的呢？逐渐适应渔村生活的浩然，最后还会想要离开吗？而不曾离开过四风港的子澄，也会展翅高飞，冲出四风港吗？
《我要像海鸟一样飞》叙述了渔村里一段纯洁的友谊，以及背景不同的两人对梦想的坚持与追求。
"Shi Fong Gang" is a small and isolated fishing village with not more than 300 people.
One day, Hao Ran's father said "No matter what"! His father wanted him to be transferred from the city to his
particular village and to stay with his grandfather.
Everyday, relentlessly he goes to school. He does not like the place. It's very run down, dirty and lots of cow
dung along the way to the school! He feels that he has had enough of all these and wants to run away from
this forsaken place.
Then comes along a young girl by the name of Zhi Qing who was brought up in the fishing village. She's very
kind hearted cum jovial and everybody likes her. She thought of living forever in the village but her mother
thought otherwise.
According to her teacher, Ms. Lim it was her father's dream that one day, his daughter will leave the village.
She doesn't know what to do and she's in a dilemma.
Hao Ran and Zhi Qing coming from different backgrounds soon become best of friends.
Will Hao Ran get accustomed to the village's environment and whether he will leave the village? Vice Versa,
will the girl want to leave the village or remain behind?
This novel describe the villages' naiveness and friendship: two different family backgrounds, different
aspirations, hopes and dreams.
